About the role
Atlassian is hiring a Senior Delivery Manager to lead cloud migration projects for enterprise customers from a remote base in New York. You will guide technical execution through every phase from initial assessment to system validation and launch.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end cloud transformation engagements, evaluating customer environments and aligning technical execution with business outcomes
- Conduct migration readiness assessments, interpret guardrail results, and recommend remediations across SQL analysis, app fixes, automation changes, and workflow redesign
- Explain how APIs, webhooks, and automation components translate from on-prem to Cloud, identifying what requires refactor or replacement
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding decisions through data-backed insights
- Govern the migration lifecycle from discovery through UAT completion and go-live
- Drive team accountability with milestones, transparent reporting, proactive risk management, and optimal resourcing
- Manage project communications, plan reviews, and steering committees
- Act as escalation point for critical blockers during migrations
- Mentor peers on technical literacy and lead enablement workshops and playbook development
- Integrate industry trends and innovative solutions into customer interactions
What they’re looking for
- Extensive experience working in or around software delivery, such as Delivery Manager, DevOps Engineer, QA/Test Lead, Systems Engineer, or Support Lead
- Proven track record leading data migration, systems integrations, or platform transformations
- Knowledge of APIs, automations, and integration patterns between on-premises and cloud environments
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, connecting process, tooling, and delivery outcomes
- Ability to influence customer decision-making through delivery expertise
- Skilled in negotiating with senior-level decision-makers and C-suite executives
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and mentorship skills
- Over 10 years of professional experience as a technical program or delivery manager for enterprise customers
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience
