This is a Data Engineer II role on Amazon's Trustworthy Shopping Experience Operations team in Bengaluru, protecting customer trust across Amazon's global stores. What you’ll do
- Design and implement next-generation data pipelines and BI solutions
- Manage AWS resources including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda and Glue
- Build data architecture and pipelines supporting analysts, data scientists and reporting
- Extract, transform and load data from a wide variety of sources
- Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating self-service support
What they’re looking for
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Knowledge of distributed systems as they relate to data storage and computing
- Proficiency in Java, Scala or Python
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda and IAM roles
- Experience with non-relational databases such as object storage, document, key-value, graph or column-family stores
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development life cycle
