About the role
This is a senior Lead AI Engineer role for professionals with five to ten years of software engineering experience and at least three years in AI or machine learning, based onsite in Bangalore. You'll design and deploy LLM applications, retrieval systems, multi-agent workflows, and scientific AI services for engineering copilots and knowledge assistants. The position also includes technical leadership, architecture reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with product and business teams.
What you’ll do
- Build production LLM, RAG, agent, and scientific AI systems.
- Develop embedding pipelines, vector search, and agent orchestration.
- Fine-tune and optimize foundation models.
- Measure model quality, hallucinations, and business outcomes.
- Create Python and FastAPI services with reusable APIs.
- Connect solutions to on-premises systems, Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, and AWS.
- Lead architecture reviews and establish engineering practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and work with stakeholders.
