About the role
This is a remote, hourly freelance contract role governing biotech research and clinical trial data for accuracy, lineage and regulatory readiness. Alignerr is hiring someone based in Canada to define data policies and enable secure AI-driven analytics access. The role sits at the intersection of life sciences data governance and AI training data quality.
What you’ll do
- Govern biotech research and clinical trial data for accuracy, lineage and auditability
- Define and enforce data policies covering classification, access control, security and metadata
- Enable secure, governed data access for analytics and external collaborations
- Identify data quality issues and build scalable governance processes
- Act as liaison between scientific, IT, compliance and business stakeholders
What they’re looking for
- Experience leading or implementing data governance programs in biotech, life sciences or regulated data environments
- Strong command of data privacy, security and regulatory expectations for research/clinical data
- Ability to collaborate across scientific, engineering, compliance and business teams
- Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
Nice to have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation or AI training datasets
- Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ICH E6, GDPR or HIPAA
- Background in data architecture, metadata or master data management
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines
