About the role
This is a senior AI engineer role at WSP's Land Services business, building AI solutions for UK and Ireland land, property and GIS projects delivered from India. It suits an experienced AI/ML engineer with 7+ years who wants to apply LLMs and agentic AI to real infrastructure and geospatial data problems. The role is based in Noida and follows a hybrid working pattern.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, test and deploy AI/ML and generative AI solutions for land and property business challenges
- Build solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, RAG and agentic AI frameworks
- Translate business problems into technical solution designs covering data flow, prompts, model selection and deployment
- Develop prototypes and production tools for automation, document processing and land referencing workflows
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, databases and cloud services
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues
- Support business development by contributing technical content for bids and proposals
What they’re looking for
- 7+ years designing, developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in enterprise or project delivery settings
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and related Azure services
- Strong understanding of machine learning, NLP and AI solution lifecycle management
- Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs and data pipelines
- Practical understanding of MLOps, version control, monitoring and governance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or a related field
- A background check (BGV) is required as a condition of employment
Nice to have
- Experience in infrastructure, consultancy, land/property or GIS environments
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification
- Microsoft certifications (AI-102, AZ-204, AZ-305) or Databricks Generative AI certification
- Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or LangGraph
- Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS or FME
- Awareness of ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 standards
- Understanding of UK land referencing and statutory land processes
