About the role
This is a founding, client-facing GenAI engineering role at Viamagus Technologies, based onsite in Hyderabad. The engineer will build production LLM copilots, RAG pipelines and agentic workflows while also running client discovery and solutioning. It suits someone with 4-7 years of software engineering experience who has shipped at least one production LLM-powered feature and wants a mix of hands-on building and client work.
What you’ll do
- Design and build production GenAI applications including LLM copilots, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and AI-native UX
- Engineer retrieval end to end: chunking, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval, re-ranking and hybrid search
- Debug retrieval quality
- Build agents and multi-step workflows with LangGraph and LangChain
- Integrate MCP servers and agent SDKs for tool access
- Deploy solutions to AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry or GCP Vertex AI with CI/CD, observability and guardrails
- Build evaluation harnesses and wire up LLM observability
- Run client discovery workshops and scope AI use cases
- Demo working software to stakeholders and defend design decisions
- Mentor junior engineers
What they’re looking for
- 4-7 years of software engineering experience
- 4-7 years of experience with real production systems
- Production GenAI experience with at least one shipped LLM-powered feature
- Experience with production GenAI, RAG and agentic systems work
Nice to have
- Experience adding AI to enterprise platforms such as Clarity PPM, Medallia, ServiceNow or Salesforce Einstein
- Deeper MLOps experience including MLflow, Weights & Biases, model monitoring and serverless GPU
- Data and RAG infrastructure experience including ETL/ELT, CDC, orchestration, knowledge graphs, Databricks or Snowflake
- Fine-tuning and multimodal experience including LoRA, distillation, vision or voice
- Industry domain depth in financial services, insurance, healthcare or retail
- AI governance awareness including NIST AI RMF and EU AI Act
- Relevant cloud AI/ML certifications
