About the role
This is a director-level role at the American College of Chest Physicians, leading data governance, business intelligence and analytics strategy for the organization. It suits an experienced data leader who has run data governance programs and managed cross-functional analytics teams, ideally within an association or nonprofit. The role is currently work-from-home due to Covid restrictions, based out of the organization's Glenview, Illinois office.
What you’ll do
- Define and execute the organization's data management, BI and analytics strategy
- Lead acquisition and development of master data management and data warehouse solutions
- Direct data governance principles, policies and programs for stewardship and quality
- Define the operating model and change management approach for data governance
- Oversee identification, reporting and resolution of data quality issues
- Develop strategies for data acquisition supporting marketing and sales
- Oversee predictive and traditional analytics and research projects
- Lead a team responsible for reporting, dashboards and statistical modeling
- Partner with IT leadership on systems and technology platform decisions
- Manage and coach cross-functional staff contributing to data governance and analytics
What they’re looking for
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field
- 5 or more years of experience in data governance or data quality
- 5 or more years of analytics experience including implementation, reporting and analysis
- Experience with business system requirements analysis
- Experience with data analytics platforms such as Tableau
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Significant experience implementing and leading organization-wide data governance
- Strong managerial skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- Experience applying data mining and predictive analytics
