About the role
Strada is hiring an onsite AI Engineer and Architect in Hyderabad to lead the design and delivery of production generative-AI, RAG, and agentic-AI systems. It suits a senior technical leader with 12 or more years in software engineering and recent hands-on GenAI or agentic-AI delivery experience. The role combines architecture ownership, implementation, team guidance, and customer-facing solution design.
What you’ll do
- Set technical standards, reusable patterns, and reference designs for GenAI delivery.
- Design and implement end-to-end GenAI and agentic-AI systems for production.
- Own architecture across services, APIs, data systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage AI tooling, model, infrastructure, and licensing costs.
- Create HLDs, LLDs, sequence diagrams, and integration specifications.
- Build evaluation, safety controls, and monitoring into AI systems.
- Review designs and coach technical team members.
- Support presales by translating client needs into technical approaches and estimates.
What they’re looking for
- Have 12 to 17 or more years of software-engineering experience.
- Bring two to three years of recent hands-on GenAI or agentic-AI project work.
- Have a technical-architecture or technical-lead record.
- Have owned HLD and LLD work for at least one substantial system.
- Be able to work with LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, prompt engineering, embeddings, hybrid retrieval, and vector databases.
- Have current and future authorization to work in the employing country without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Know when classical models or fine-tuning are more appropriate than an LLM call.
- Have enterprise architecture experience beyond scripting.
