About the role
This is an MLOps engineering role at Standard Chartered in Bengaluru, designing and operating machine learning and Generative AI platforms across the model lifecycle. It suits an engineer who wants to build CI/CD and CT pipelines, production ML services and platform capabilities with technical leadership responsibility. The role embeds observability, resilience, security and cost efficiency into ML and AI services at the bank.
What you’ll do
- Engineer reusable CI/CD and CT pipelines for model, prompt and infrastructure releases
- Build and maintain containerised workloads, model serving components and registries using infrastructure as code
- Operate production ML and GenAI services against availability, latency and recovery objectives
- Implement telemetry for infrastructure, data, model and application health with alerting and incident response
- Plan capacity and optimize compute, storage and inference costs
- Set engineering standards, review designs and code, and mentor colleagues
- Translate service objectives into prioritised platform capabilities with stakeholders

- Hands-on delivery of production ML or GenAI services
- Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle engineering in Python
- Cloud, Kubernetes and platform engineering experience
- DevSecOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code experience
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI or related discipline
- Professional proficiency in English
