About the role
This is a remote full-time platform engineering role for a backend developer based in the United Kingdom. You'll develop the APIs and internal services that support Speechify's text-to-speech product, including billing, subscriptions, authentication, and usage data. The position is intended for an engineer who can pair technical execution with product judgment in an asynchronous distributed team.
What you’ll do
- Develop and support public and internal APIs.
- Improve backend reliability, speed, and maintainability.
- Help deliver enterprise customizations and integrations.
- Coordinate with product and frontend teams on technical direction.
