About the role
This is a remote software engineering role for someone with at least five years of experience building data infrastructure for AI training, with no office location specified. You will acquire and ingest audio at petabyte scale to support next-generation voice models. The role combines cloud operations, Linux automation, large-scale data workflows, and research collaboration in an asynchronous team.
What you’ll do
- Discover and integrate audio sources into a high-throughput ingestion pipeline.
- Run and expand GCP infrastructure managed through Terraform.
- Work with research scientists to improve dataset cost, throughput, and quality.
- Help shape the dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products.
- Build automation for large-scale Linux data workflows.

- A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- Bash and Python scripting skills on Linux.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code.
- Production experience with a major cloud provider, preferably GCP.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability.
Nice to have
- Experience with web crawlers.
- Experience with large-scale data-processing pipelines.
