About the role
This is a remote software engineering role for someone with at least five years of experience building infrastructure and data systems for AI training, with no office location specified. You will collect and process audio datasets at petabyte scale for next-generation voice models. The role combines GCP operations, Terraform-managed infrastructure, Linux tooling, and close work with research scientists.
What you’ll do
- Find and onboard new audio sources into the ingestion pipeline.
- Operate and improve GCP infrastructure managed with Terraform.
- Work with research scientists to increase dataset quality and scale while controlling cost.
- Support the dataset roadmap for future consumer and enterprise products.
- Maintain tooling for large-scale Linux data workflows.
What they’re looking for
- A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related discipline.
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- Strong bash and Python scripting skills in Linux environments.
- Hands-on Docker and infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Professional experience with a major cloud provider, preferably GCP.
- Clear communication and the ability to manage changing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience building web crawlers.
- Experience operating large-scale data-processing pipelines.
