About the role
This is a remote full-time platform engineering role for a backend developer in the United States. You'll create and scale the APIs supporting Speechify's text-to-speech products across web, desktop, browser, and mobile experiences. The role fits an engineer who can work quickly on product and architecture decisions while supporting high-volume backend services.
What you’ll do
- Build and operate public and internal APIs.
- Develop systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking.
- Improve reliability, performance, and long-term service maintainability.
- Support enterprise integration work.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on product and architecture decisions.
