About the role
Speechify is hiring a full-time remote backend platform engineer in the United States. The role is for TypeScript and Node.js engineers who can scale APIs supporting text-to-speech, payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You’ll contribute to backend decisions that shape a product used by more than 50 million users. The team works remotely and asynchronously, with enterprise integration work included.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain public and internal backend APIs.
- Improve API performance, scalability, and long-term code health.
- Support enterprise integrations and customer-specific adaptations.
- Coordinate with product, design, and engineering partners.
- Contribute technical leadership through high-impact delivery.
