About the role
This is a remote contract role for a frontend engineer with deep React and Next.js experience. You'll review AI-generated interfaces, create reference implementations, and explain rendering, accessibility, security, and performance decisions. The role is open to contractors in Germany, India, and the United States.
What you’ll do
- Review AI-generated React and Next.js code and architecture.
- Write reference implementations and step-by-step explanations for frontend problems.
- Check generated work for correctness, accessibility, performance, and prompt alignment.
- Test SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, hydration, and data-fetching behavior.
- Compare AI responses and score their reasoning quality.
- Work with engineering teams to align outputs with frontend and accessibility standards.
What they’re looking for
- At least 4 years building production web applications with React.
- At least 2 years using Next.js or a comparable server-rendering framework.
- Expertise in hooks, component design, state, memoization, rendering, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of App Router, Server Components, route handlers, middleware, caching, and deployment.
- Understanding of HTTP, browser rendering, XSS, CSRF, cookies, sessions, and OAuth.
- Experience improving bundles, code splitting, images, Core Web Vitals, and profiling.
- Experience with testing, linting, and CI/CD tools.
- C1-level English proficiency for technical explanations.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience conducting detailed reviews for maintainability, correctness, and accessibility.

- Previous AI training-data work or experience evaluating AI-generated content.
