About the role
This is an onsite AI engineering role in Bengaluru, India, for an engineer with five to seven years of overall experience and at least three years of relevant experience. You'll build production AI tools for developer productivity, workflow automation, retrieval, agentic systems, and engineering operations across multiple product teams.
What you’ll do
- Design and build AI-powered tools for software engineering and operational workflows.
- Work with technical leads to understand codebases, architectures, deployment processes, and engineering bottlenecks.
- Implement LLM applications, retrieval systems, agentic workflows, and automation integrations.
- Evaluate, monitor, secure, and improve the reliability of AI systems.
- Take ambiguous problems through discovery, design, implementation, validation, rollout, and adoption.
- Explain technical trade-offs and document engineering decisions.
What they’re looking for
- Five to seven years of overall experience, including at least three years of relevant experience.
- Strong software engineering experience with production applications, developer tools, automation, internal platforms, or data-intensive services.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java, or a comparable backend language.
- Practical experience delivering LLM-powered applications.
- Experience with RAG, agentic workflows, AI-powered developer tools, multi-system automation, or AI evaluation and monitoring.
- Strong understanding of APIs, testing, debugging, observability, authentication, error handling, and secure delivery.
- Ability to work independently across several teams and codebases.
Nice to have
- Experience with LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, or LangChain.
- Experience with semantic or hybrid retrieval, embeddings, reranking, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge of planning, tool use, memory, retries, and approval workflows in agentic systems.
- Familiarity with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with synthetic evaluations, regression testing, LLM-as-judge methods, LangSmith, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience deploying AI applications with containers, APIs, or workflow engines.
