About the role
This is a senior Business Intelligence Engineer role at MyFitnessPal, based in the USA. What you’ll do
- Maintain data quality and own the reporting data pipeline and business logic
- Diagnose changes in KPIs and identify drivers
- Ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency of BI infrastructure
- Perform deep-dive analytics on ad hoc stakeholder requests
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations on user data
- Architect data models supporting data democratization and a curated reporting zone
- Partner with Data Engineering to unlock data for the BI team
- Support marketing and product business analyst teams
What they’re looking for
- 4-6 years in BI Engineering or Analytics Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- Advanced to expert SQL proficiency
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI or Looker
- Familiarity with Python or R for analytics
- Experience building data warehouses and ETL pipelines (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Experience with project management and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
- MS in a technology field or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience building AI-ready data models and semantic layers, e.g. with Secoda
- Experience in consumer-facing app environments with retention and engagement metrics
