About the role
MongoDB is hiring a hybrid Software Engineer in Gurugram to build products that let developers and AI agents work with MongoDB. This full-time role suits backend engineers with at least three years of Node.js and TypeScript experience who want to work on agentic developer tooling. You'll help create the MongoDB MCP Server, Agent Skills, an intelligent assistant platform, and purpose-built agents. The position includes participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
What you’ll do
- Define and evolve AI interface products with research, product, design, and engineering partners.
- Build and test platform components including MCP Server, Agent Skills, assistant capabilities, and agents.
- Own ambiguous technical work through delivery.
- Contribute to architecture, reviews, engineering practices, and developer experience.
- Mentor engineers and take accountability for projects.
