About the role
This part-time on-site Specimen Collector II role is based in Tucson, Arizona, and involves observed collections for female patients. You will collect and process urine or oral-fluid specimens, support patients and clinics, maintain records and supplies, and coordinate specimens for laboratory shipment.
What you’ll do
- Collect urine and oral-fluid specimens from patients.
- Observe collections when required for Millennium Health specimens.
- Process and package specimens for shipment.
- Serve as a contact between clinics and the laboratory.
- Record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information.
- Resolve billing or patient-information issues in the ordering portal.
- Maintain collection-supply inventory.
- Drive between facilities when required.
What they’re looking for
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of specimen-collection experience, or at least one year in a medical field with direct patient support.
- Two years of customer-service experience may substitute for medical experience.
- Comfort using a smartphone and computer.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, including lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Female candidates are required for observed collections of female patients.

- Familiarity with medications or diagnostic codes.

- USD 18 to USD 21 per hour.
