About the role
A contract lead data engineer role based in Mississauga, Ontario, on a hybrid schedule of four days per week in office. You will build enterprise-scale ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Python while collaborating with data architects and analysts.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development of enterprise-scale ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Python
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to design data warehouse solutions
- Implement stored procedures, tasks, and dbt transformations
- Design data models and manage workflow orchestration with Airflow or equivalent tools
What they’re looking for
- 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL and Python with cloud data platform experience
- Proficiency in data modeling, workflow orchestration with Airflow, and dbt
- Hands-on experience with stored procedures, tasks, and Snowflake
- Experience developing ETL and ELT pipelines at enterprise scale
- Experience with data warehouse design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration
