About the role
This permanent management position oversees energy and water infrastructure maintenance for Paris-Orly Airport, one of Europe's major aviation hubs. You'll be responsible for keeping electrical systems, heating, cooling, and water distribution running reliably while meeting strict safety and regulatory standards. The role balances strategic planning—designing maintenance policies and managing contractor relationships—with day-to-day team leadership and hands-on problem-solving during operational disruptions.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement maintenance strategies for electrical, thermal, hydraulic, and water systems across the airport
- Lead and coordinate a maintenance team, setting priorities and ensuring work quality and safety
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external maintenance providers, tracking performance and costs
- Ensure all equipment passes regulatory inspections and maintains compliance with environmental and safety rules
- Plan preventive maintenance schedules and monitor equipment condition to avoid failures
- Collaborate with the airport operations center to make sure maintenance supports flight schedules and safety
- Identify and implement energy efficiency improvements across your infrastructure area
- Oversee maintenance budgets, approve capital expenditures, and track spending against forecasts
What they’re looking for
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum three years of experience in maintenance, construction management, or facilities operations with documented team leadership
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, thermal, or hydraulic systems
- Proven experience managing outsourced maintenance contracts and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated team leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with maintenance management software (GMAO) and standard office tools
- Strategic thinking and composure when handling operational crises or degraded conditions
Nice to have
- Experience managing crisis situations, emergency repairs, or system failures
- Background in energy efficiency projects or sustainability initiatives
- Expertise in specific thermal or electrical systems common in large facilities
