About the role

This is a remote, mid-level DevOps engineering role supporting cloud and hosted application environments for Granicus. You'll improve delivery automation, infrastructure reliability, monitoring, incident response, and AI-assisted operations while working with engineering, security, support, and operations teams.

What you’ll do

  • Own build, deployment, release, and environment-management activities.
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for efficient and consistent delivery.
  • Provision and maintain cloud and hosted infrastructure using automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Troubleshoot application, deployment, infrastructure, and environment problems.
  • Monitor logs and telemetry and improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Create reusable automation, deployment patterns, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in incident response, on-call support, and root-cause analysis.
  • Use AI tools, AIOps practices, and MCP tools to improve engineering workflows.

  • Professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, cloud operations, release management, and reliability practices.
  • Experience administering Linux or Windows systems, using scripting and source control, and troubleshooting production or pre-production environments.
  • Practical experience with containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, and operational support.
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Interest in responsible AI use for infrastructure engineering.
  • Familiarity with alert correlation, anomaly detection, event enrichment, and assisted root-cause analysis.
  • Willingness to use Python or a similar language to build guarded operational tools.
