About the role
This is a long-term contract role for a Databricks Administrator at Delan Associates, managing, securing and supporting scalable Databricks environments. It suits an experienced platform administrator comfortable with RBAC, Unity Catalog and cloud integrations across major cloud providers. The role is remote, open to candidates in the United States.
What you’ll do
- Administer Databricks workspaces, clusters and jobs
- Manage RBAC, SSO, user access and security policies
- Monitor platform performance, costs and system health
- Configure Unity Catalog, Secret Scopes and cloud integrations
- Automate administration using Terraform, Databricks CLI and REST APIs
- Troubleshoot Databricks platform and cluster issues
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Cloud teams

- Hands-on Databricks administration experience
- Experience with Apache Spark and Unity Catalog
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
- IAM and Terraform experience
- Experience with Databricks CLI and REST APIs
- Python or Bash scripting skills
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
