About the role
This is a Mexico-based data engineering contract focused on a Snowflake platform for business-financing operations. It suits a hands-on data engineer with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, orchestration, and production data-quality experience. You’ll initially support Treasury and Finance data while helping the platform expand into additional business domains.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain Snowflake pipelines and reusable production data products.
- Develop dbt transformations and governed data models.
- Migrate Alteryx workflows into managed platform components.
- Create orchestration workflows with Dagster, Airflow, or comparable tools.
- Validate results, investigate data discrepancies, and correct transformation issues.
- Add data-quality controls and monitoring with analytics, BI, and governance partners.
What they’re looking for
- At least four years of data engineering experience.
- Substantial hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Production dbt development experience.
- Experience with Dagster, Airflow, or another workflow orchestrator.
- Strong SQL and analytical data-modeling skills.
- Experience maintaining dependable pipelines and applying quality or monitoring practices.
- English proficiency of B2 or above.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools.
Nice to have
- Snowflake certification.
- Availability for collaboration during U.S. Central Time, particularly after 2:00 PM Central Time.
- Experience with Fivetran, MetricFlow, or LLM-assisted engineering workflows.
