About the role
This is a director-level role at Coca-Cola in Atlanta leading delivery and adoption of AI engineering capabilities across a portfolio of digital products. It suits a hands-on technical leader who can operate as a player-coach, managing AI engineering teams while staying close to architecture and delivery. The role reports to the Senior Director, AI Engineering Lead and translates enterprise AI strategy into delivery execution across product teams.
What you’ll do
- Lead delivery and adoption of AI engineering capabilities across a portfolio of digital products
- Manage and develop AI engineering teams through coaching and technical direction
- Provide technical leadership on model architectures, agent workflows, retrieval strategies and evaluation approaches
- Drive adoption of enterprise AI standards, reusable patterns and engineering best practices
- Lead design, development, deployment and operation of production AI applications and agent-based solutions
- Ensure implementation of MLOps, LLMOps and AgentOps practices including observability and monitoring
- Establish engineering quality standards through architecture and code reviews
- Ensure AI solutions comply with governance, security, responsible AI and risk management requirements
What they’re looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering or platform engineering
- 5+ years leading engineering teams, technical leads or specialized engineering functions
- Demonstrated experience delivering production AI solutions including generative AI, LLM applications and intelligent agents
- Experience leading delivery across multiple products or business domains in a matrixed environment
- Strong expertise in agentic AI architectures, RAG, GraphRAG, semantic search, vector databases and knowledge graphs
- Hands-on expertise in Python and cloud-native development, Azure preferred
- Experience implementing MLOps, LLMOps and AgentOps in production
Nice to have
- Experience establishing engineering standards, reusable frameworks and development accelerators
- Knowledge of responsible AI, cybersecurity, privacy and enterprise risk controls
- Strong leadership capabilities coaching engineers and driving organizational capability growth

- Base pay range of $171,000-$198,000
