About the role
This is a data engineering role at Coalition building the data platform behind its cybersecurity insurance business. It suits a data engineer with experience in Snowflake, dbt and the Medallion architecture who wants to work closely with security, sales and data science teams. The role is remote within the USA at a fully distributed company.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement Star Schema models within a Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture for cyber insurance and security analytics
- Build scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt with high data quality and observability
- Define and implement SLIs for data freshness, volume and schema integrity, with automated alerting
- Develop and maintain the LookML semantic layer for business stakeholders
- Implement data masking, RBAC and secure data handling practices
- Act as a technical peer through code reviews and sharing dbt/Python best practices
- Build feature stores and data foundations for AI-driven risk scoring and automated underwriting
