About the role
This is a senior real-world data (RWD) analytics consulting role leading statistical analysis and study methodology for clinical and pharmaceutical research, remote within the USA. It suits an experienced statistical programmer with clinical or pharma industry background who can lead RWD analysis strategy for a CRO's sponsor engagement. ClinChoice, a global contract research organization, is filling this role for one of its clients.
What you’ll do
- Lead development of analysis specifications and study methodology for RWD research
- Develop programs and conduct analyses across therapeutic areas
- Provide technical guidance and oversee quality control processes
- Build and validate patient cohorts and key variables
- Manage project timelines, deliverables and cross-functional collaboration
- Communicate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to statistical analysis plans and protocol or manuscript development
What they’re looking for
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Bioinformatics or related field with 5-8 years post-graduation experience, or PhD with 3+ years
- Proficiency in SAS or R plus SQL, with independent programming ability
- Experience with propensity score analysis, lines of therapy or similar advanced statistical programming
- Experience applying machine learning methods (LASSO, decision trees, random forest, XGBoost) to RWD
- Experience with healthcare databases such as claims data or electronic health records
- Understanding of epidemiology, outcomes research and study design
- Experience with OMOP CDM or similar common data model frameworks
Nice to have
- Experience with OHDSI or DARWIN toolsets in R
- Oncology-specific experience, including Flatiron and ConcertAI
- Experience with clinico-genomic multi-modal data or population biobank data
- Tableau or Power BI experience
- HEOR experience including cost analysis and comparative effectiveness research
