About the role
This is a staff-level developer infrastructure role for an experienced software or infrastructure engineer working on build, test, release, and developer productivity systems. What you’ll do
- Design and improve organization-wide CI/CD pipelines.
- Own artifact versioning, storage, distribution, dependency management, and reproducible builds.
- Improve code review, branching, integration, and repository workflows.
- Provision and optimize cloud infrastructure for CI workloads.
- Diagnose build failures, pipeline bottlenecks, and distributed infrastructure problems.
- Advance internal build, test, automation, and developer productivity platforms.
- Lead cross-team architectural improvements and mentor other engineers.
- Support incident response and on-call operations for developer productivity systems.
- Apply AI tooling to engineering workflows where it improves productivity.
What they’re looking for
- At least seven years in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, developer productivity, or a related field.
- Deep experience building and operating automated build, test, and deployment systems.
- Experience with artifact repositories, packaging, dependency management, and reproducible builds.
- Cloud experience, with AWS preferred, and infrastructure provisioning through code.
- Strong knowledge of version control, code review, branching, Linux or Unix, networking, and automation.
- Experience with containers and orchestration, preferably Kubernetes.
- A record of leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Production operations, incident response, and postmortem experience.
Nice to have
- Infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Python, Go, Shell, or similar automation programming experience.
- Large-scale build systems or build-graph optimization experience.
- Monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance-analysis experience.
- Experience with internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.
- Use of AI or LLM tools for engineering productivity.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
