What you’ll do
- Lead and execute complex, high-stakes analyses including deep-dive investigations and statistical modelling
- Guide and unblock the team on difficult technical problems such as query optimization and data modeling
- Write advanced, performant SQL against large and complex datasets
- Build and maintain robust data models and pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering
- Apply statistical methods such as A/B testing, regression, and cohort analysis
- Design and build dashboards and reporting frameworks
- Set and enforce technical standards for the team, including code review and data quality checks
- Mentor analysts by working alongside them on hard problems
- Present complex findings to senior stakeholders
What they’re looking for
- 9+ years of hands-on data analysis experience with demonstrated depth in complex, high-volume datasets
- 2+ years leading or mentoring analysts on technically difficult work
- Expert-level SQL, including window functions, query optimization, and untangling messy schemas
- Experience with cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
- Solid grounding in statistics: experimentation design, hypothesis testing, and regression
- Experience with a BI/visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve ambiguous, multi-layered data problems
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Direct experience designing and analyzing A/B tests or experimentation frameworks
- Exposure to data engineering concepts such as schema design, ETL, and data warehousing
- Experience formally managing analysts, not just technical mentorship
