What you’ll do
- Build low-latency API services in AWS
- Build scalable RESTful APIs
- Integrate SDKs with other services
- Work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security
- Build secure multi-tenant environments
- Write raw SQL and manage schema migrations
- Contribute to frontend work using React when needed
- Write integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection tests
- Use AI coding assistants as part of daily development
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines

- 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend-focused
- Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
- Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security
- Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
- Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations
- Professional experience with React
- Strong testing practices including integration and fault-injection testing
- Experience working with AI coding assistants
- CI/CD creation and maintenance skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to overlap US business hours
Nice to have
- Experience with append-only, event-sourced or bitemporal data models
- Experience with Fastify and schema-first validation (Zod)
- Experience running containerized services on AWS Fargate/ECS
- Experience in compliance-sensitive domains such as fintech or telecom/TCPA compliance
