About the role
This is a data migration role on the Data Services team at Applied Systems, based in Bengaluru with hybrid work. It suits someone comfortable writing SQL-based extraction, transformation and validation scripts to move customer data from legacy and competitor systems into the company's SaaS products. The team works a follow-the-sun model, handing off migration work across regions and time zones.
What you’ll do
- Own assigned components of end-to-end data conversion and migration projects
- Perform data extractions, mergers, transformations and cleanup for varied customer scenarios
- Build repeatable data scripts and workflows and run audits/validation for accuracy
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to scope and deliver migrations
- Support testing, defect resolution and documentation with the development team
- Increasingly apply cloud tools such as BigQuery and automation to migration workflows

- Understanding of ETL concepts, data mapping and data quality practices

- Clear communication with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
Nice to have
- Hands-on SaaS data migration or ETL experience in production
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and Cloud Storage
- Experience with automation frameworks or scripting for data quality work
- Interest in evaluating AI-assisted or agent-based migration workflows
- Experience using Jira, SharePoint or similar tracking tools
