About the role
This is a junior Data Engineer role for an early-career data professional working in Mississauga, Ontario, on a hybrid schedule. You’ll help investigate data, build analytical models, develop databases and reporting logic, and support data and software governance for ApoSys Technologies Inc. The position suits someone with one to two years of experience who can work across technical and business audiences.
What you’ll do
- Assess and troubleshoot application software.
- Build predictive and ensemble models.
- Research data availability and suitability.
- Design data collection and processing methods.
- Develop data mappings, process models and network models.
- Create queries, reports and data visualizations.
- Extract information from unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain databases.
- Document data requirements, access rules and technical requirements.
- Advise on anomaly detection systems and information systems strategy.
- Operate database systems for analysis.
- Create data administration, security, backup and recovery policies.
