About the role
This is a Machine Learning Engineer role at Anlatan, a fully remote AI company building consumer AI products including NovelAI. It suits an ML engineer experienced with PyTorch who wants to train and fine-tune LLMs and image models on a distributed compute cluster. The work covers model architecture, distributed training, and adapting models based on tester feedback.
What you’ll do
- Work with the distributed training stack to start and track training runs
- Contribute to ML codebases, adding new models, algorithms and features
- Experiment with new model architectures and designs, making them production ready
- Train and fine-tune models, adapting them to products based on tester feedback
What they’re looking for
- Experience with PyTorch and Python
- Past experience training NLP or image models
- Ability to read cutting-edge ML papers and reproduce them in PyTorch
- Strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures
- Machine learning fundamentals
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and SLURM
- Distributed computing knowledge for the ML training stack
- Experience with JAX
- Experience with Triton
