About the role
This is a Senior AI Engineer role in a hybrid Bengaluru team building a reusable, governed platform for agentic AI and large-language-model applications. You'll set technical direction for orchestration, retrieval, tool use, and production deployment while supporting AI capabilities across packaging and manufacturing software.
What you’ll do
- Build business capabilities that can be used through interfaces, AI agents, or automated jobs.
- Expose company capabilities as MCP-described tools.
- Develop the LLM orchestration and safe tool-execution layer.
- Create and improve agent workflows with LangChain, LangGraph, and MCP.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines grounded in company data.
- Integrate multiple LLM providers through a common abstraction.
- Maintain governed data access and approval controls.
- Extend the platform into scheduling, order, documentation, forecasting, and KPI capabilities.
- Deploy agents and inference services on AWS.
- Add evaluation, cost controls, monitoring, and regression safeguards.
- Partner with ML engineering, data science, and MLOps teams.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including 2 years building production LLM systems.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience with prompt engineering, tool calling, and agent frameworks.
- Experience integrating a major LLM provider.
- Hands-on AWS experience with production workloads.
- Experience optimizing real-time or batch model inference for latency, throughput, and cost.
- Experience with RAG and vector databases.
- Working knowledge of classical ML engineering and MLOps.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
- Experience setting technical direction or reviewing other engineers' work.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Model Context Protocol.
- Experience creating governed read-only data access layers.
- Kubernetes or cloud AI-platform experience.
- Experience with ERP, MES, or manufacturing data.
- Customer-facing or product-embedded engineering experience.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- AWS certification.
