About the role
This is a remote-first staff IT engineering role for candidates based in Canada or the United States. What you’ll do
- Set technical direction for endpoint tooling, configuration standards, and security baselines.
- Lead adoption of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices for device management.
- Create and review production automation using Bash, Python, and Terraform.
- Plan and deliver a multi-quarter endpoint-management roadmap.
- Coach engineers and help the team navigate operational change.
- Apply AI tools to IT operations while assessing their security and quality risks.
What they’re looking for
- At least seven years of enterprise IT and endpoint-management experience.
- At least two years working at senior or staff individual-contributor level.
- Experience building and managing endpoints with GitOps.
- Operating-system expertise across macOS, Windows, or Linux.
- Strong Bash, Python, and Terraform skills.
- Knowledge of encryption, patching, vulnerability management, EDR, least privilege, and frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Experience defining technical roadmaps and mentoring engineers.
