This onsite freelance Event Specialist role coordinates individual events in Mexico City, Mexico. It suits a locally based event professional who can manage setup, guest experience, logistics, and on-the-day problems for corporate social-impact activities. You will represent Visit.org at events and work with hosts, nonprofit partners, venues, staff, and corporate participants.
What you’ll do
- Join advance virtual planning meetings with event stakeholders.
- Set up, coordinate, and close down in-person events.
- Clarify responsibilities across onsite hosts, partners, venues, staff, and corporate teams.
- Run guest check-in and welcome attendees.
- Address supply, staffing, and technology issues during events.
- Escalate issues to the events team when needed.
- Send event updates, photos, and videos to the events team.
- Repack and ship event materials after each event.

- Be fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Already be based in Mexico City, Mexico.
- Be available for contract work on an as-needed, per-event basis.
- Have experience with both large-scale and executive-level events.
- Be organized, resourceful, and calm under pressure.
- Have group facilitation and customer-service experience.
- Be available for variable hours, including nights and weekends.
- Be willing to travel within the local region.
- Be able to lift, move, and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
