About the role
This is a full-time, on-site front desk agent position at Staybridge Suites in Guelph, Ontario, suited to someone with at least one year of customer service experience and an interest in hotel operations. You'll welcome guests, manage arrivals and departures, handle reservations and payments, answer requests and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance.
What you’ll do
- Welcome guests at arrival and departure.
- Process check-ins and check-outs accurately.
- Complete front desk and cashiering duties.
- Handle guest questions, requests and complaints.
- Manage reservations, room assignments and guest accounts in the property system.
- Explain hotel services, amenities and local attractions.
- Work with other departments to resolve guest needs.
- Process cash and card transactions and balance reports.
- Answer the switchboard and pass on messages.
- Take reservations and present available room options.
- Coordinate room availability with housekeeping and maintenance.
- Complete shift duties and provide handovers.

- At least one year of customer service experience is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are expected.
- You should be able to multitask calmly in a busy environment.
- Computer and reservation-system skills are required; Opera, OnQ or similar experience is an asset.
- A professional appearance and positive attitude are expected.
- You must be available for evenings, weekends and holidays.

- Hospitality experience.
- Experience with Opera, OnQ or another property-management system.
