About the role
This is a full-time remote Pre-Sales Solutions Architect role for a US-based financial-services technology leader with at least 10 years of experience. You’ll serve as the technical lead for a Microsoft-channel practice, shaping Azure modernization, data-platform, and governed AI-agent pursuits for financial institutions. The role owns technical qualification, proposals, pricing, scopes, SOWs, ROI and TCO cases, proof-of-concept work, and handoff to delivery. It also turns successful work into reusable financial-services offerings.
What you’ll do
- Lead the technical solution narrative for Microsoft financial-services offerings.
- Partner with sellers and Microsoft field teams to qualify and advance opportunities.
- Own proposal development, pricing, scoping, requirements gathering, SOWs, and RFP participation.
- Build TCO and ROI cases, Azure consumption plans, and partner-funding assessments.
- Create rapid proofs of concept and transferable technical artifacts.
- Hand delivery teams clear scopes after pre-sales work.
- Package repeatable financial-services intellectual property and offerings.
What they’re looking for
- At least 10 years in financial-services technology.
- At least seven years in or alongside the Microsoft field.
- Knowledge of Partner Center, co-sell-ready offers, MACC, and partner funding.
- Hands-on financial-services domain knowledge across banking, lending, payments, KYC, AML, fraud, and related operations.
- Experience pricing proposals, defining scopes, writing signed SOWs, and defending effort models.
- Executive-level communication for large multi-year, multi-tower deals.
- Azure architecture credibility, with AZ-305 preferred or willingness to earn it within six months.
- Ability to scope Foundry, Agent 365, evaluations, human review controls, audit logging, and operating costs for AI agents.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or Azure Databricks experience.
- Experience at Microsoft or a Microsoft Partner of the Year organization.
- Experience creating financial-services IP or accelerators.
- Experience establishing a practice or offering from an early stage.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
