About the role
This is a senior architecture role leading enterprise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric analytics solutions, suited to a hands-on BI architect with deep DAX and data platform experience. The position is remote and sits with HCL Technologies. The architect owns end-to-end design of semantic models, governance frameworks and Fabric adoption across an enterprise analytics estate.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end architecture for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric analytics solutions
- Design scalable semantic models using dimensional modeling and star schema
- Define architecture blueprints, HLDs, LLDs and workspace deployment patterns
- Lead Fabric adoption across Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Direct Lake and Dataflows Gen2
- Build and optimize Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures and Power Query transformations
- Implement Row-Level Security, Object-Level Security and workspace governance controls
- Mentor developers and analysts on Power BI, DAX and Fabric best practices
What they’re looking for
- 10+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Data Warehousing delivery
- 7+ years hands-on Power BI experience including semantic modeling and DAX
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric components
- Strong SQL skills across relational databases, warehouses and lakehouse architecture
- Understanding of governance, security, data lineage and BI lifecycle management
Nice to have
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Spark, Python and REST APIs
- Experience with Power BI Copilot, Fabric Copilot and GenAI-assisted analytics
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Fabric certifications
