About the role
This is a fully remote packaging-production design contract for an English-fluent designer based in Latin America. It suits a designer with at least three years of beauty, fragrance, CPG, or comparable packaging-production experience. You’ll turn approved creative work into accurate, vendor-ready packaging files while contributing to packaging systems, mockups, and production decisions.
What you’ll do
- Create mechanical packaging files with dielines, bleed, safety margins, and print specifications.
- Prepare vendor-ready artwork with color separations, trapping, overprint settings, specialty plates, fonts, and linked assets.
- Develop packaging designs across fragrance collections, SKU variants, and line extensions.
- Preflight artwork, control revisions, and resolve production issues with suppliers.
- Maintain organized assets, packaging specifications, dielines, and production checklists.
- Create mockups and simple sales presentations while recommending cost-conscious design choices.
What they’re looking for
- A graphic-design, packaging-design, or related degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least three years of packaging production design experience.
- Expert Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign capability for packaging workflows.
- Strong packaging typography skills.
- Knowledge of prepress and print production, including Pantone, CMYK, spot colors, foil, embossing, varnishes, dielines, and substrates.
Nice to have
- PowerPoint experience for presentation editing.
- 3D rendering experience with KeyShot, Adobe Dimension, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
- Basic packaging-engineering, CAD, or vendor-collaboration knowledge.
