This is a permanent full-time truck driver position based in Calgary, Alberta, transporting goods and materials by straight or articulated truck. You'll plan routes, manage cargo documentation, operate and inspect the vehicle, and communicate with dispatch. What you’ll do
- Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods.
- Plan or adjust routes with navigation and GPS equipment.
- Load, unload, tarp, and secure cargo.
- Obtain permits and documents for international transport.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Monitor tires, lights, brakes, cold-storage equipment, and other vehicle systems.
- Carry out emergency roadside repairs.
- Record cargo, hours, distance, and fuel information.
- Stay in contact with central dispatch.
