About the role
This is an applied machine-learning scientist role in Bengaluru, India, supporting Amazon's India Seller Partner Services technology organization. What you’ll do
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain machine-learning solutions.

- Apply optimization, probabilistic modeling, scalable inference, and statistical techniques.
- Assess model performance from customer and cost perspectives.

- Use software-development practices to maintain high-quality science deliverables.

- At least three years of experience building machine-learning models or algorithms for business applications.
- At least three years solving business problems with machine learning, data mining, or statistical algorithms.
- A master's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
- Experience with algorithms and data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, or distributed and high-performance computing.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
- Professional software-development experience and experience implementing algorithms with toolkits or custom code.
- Experience with patents or publications in peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
Nice to have
- A PhD in a relevant quantitative or technical field.
- Five or more years building machine-learning models or business algorithms.
- Knowledge of architectural concepts, scheduling trade-offs, and technical opportunities.
