About the role
This is an on-site Production Supervisor position for a plastic products manufacturer in Mississauga, Ontario. You’ll lead production workers, coordinate plant activities and help maintain output, quality and safety standards. The role is suited to a supervisor with two to three years of relevant experience and college or CEGEP education.
What you’ll do
- Supervise and schedule workers operating plastic and rubber processing equipment.
- Coordinate production activities with other work units.
- Recommend hiring and promotion decisions.
- Prepare production reports.
- Suggest improvements to productivity and product quality.
- Train employees on duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Order materials, equipment and supplies.
- Move raw materials, finished goods and scrap through the plant.
- Start up and shut down production systems.
- Adjust machinery during production.
- Enforce safety standards and departmental policies.
- Conduct safety training.

- Two to three years of experience.
- Experience supervising five to ten people.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
