About the role
This part-time remote role is for a Mexico-based Spanish (Mexico) language specialist who can adapt music and multimedia marketing content for local audiences. You’ll review, edit, and localize English-language material for es-MX users while helping ensure it is culturally appropriate and accurate. The role supports Welocalize, a Welo Global brand providing multilingual content services.
What you’ll do
- Adapt music, media, and marketing content for the Mexican market.
- Review your own work and colleagues’ linguistic output.
- Edit and verify content for accuracy.
- Test localized content on live platforms.
- Research local terminology, audience preferences, and media trends.
- Advise global teams on culturally relevant language and messaging.
What they’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant marketing, localization, or copywriting experience.
- Experience translating or localizing multimedia content.
- Knowledge of Mexico’s media channels, entertainment landscape, digital platforms, and consumer culture.
- Native-level es-MX proficiency and fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and independent remote-working ability.
- Writing samples or evidence of marketing-content contributions.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of iOS or macOS systems.
- Comfort typing the native language using a local English keyboard.
