About the role
Mirantis is hiring a remote principal backend software engineer in India to build Go services for the multi-tenant k0rdent-ai GPU infrastructure control plane. This role is for an experienced Go engineer who can own API, database, orchestration, security, testing, and deployment decisions for production platform services. You’ll collaborate across US, European, and Indian engineering teams and mentor others while improving the platform’s reliability and correctness.
What you’ll do
- Build Go microservices, database schemas, and migrations for the platform.
- Design durable Temporal workflows with idempotency, retry, timeout, and determinism considerations.
- Create versioned REST APIs with OpenAPI and multi-language SDKs.
- Develop asynchronous, event-driven communication between distributed services.
- Implement tenant-scoped authentication and authorization across IAM and API-gateway boundaries.
- Add automated unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage for each change.
- Instrument services with structured logs, metrics, and audit trails.
- Package services using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Review code, investigate incidents, and mentor junior engineers.
What they’re looking for
- At least 10 years of professional software-engineering experience, including 5 or more years building production Go backend services.
- Strong Go knowledge, including concurrency, context propagation, error handling, and standard-library HTTP routing.
- Deep relational-database expertise under multi-tenant load.
- Experience with public REST APIs, generated SDKs, asynchronous systems, and retry semantics.
- Knowledge of OIDC, JWT validation, RBAC, multi-tenant isolation, IAM platforms, and API gateways.
- Working Kubernetes experience and a strong automated-testing practice.
- Clear written English and experience mentoring engineers.

- GPU infrastructure or AI and machine-learning scheduling experience on Kubernetes.
- SCIM provisioning or integration between platform permissions and Kubernetes RBAC.
- Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Python, TypeScript, security engineering, or CNCF open-source experience.
