What you’ll do
- Install and repair domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Mark locations for pipe connections, openings, and fixtures.
- Create wall and floor openings for pipework.
- Join pipes using mechanical, cementing, soldering, brazing, or welding methods.
- Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
- Pressure-test pipes for leaks.
- Determine pipe sizes and system requirements.
- Estimate materials and costs.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe.
